Peacefully at Strathmere Lodge on Monday, December 18, 2017 at the age of 86. Beloved wife of the late John Murray Heuchan. Dearly loved mother of Diana (Tom) Parsons and John (Maryann) Heuchan. Cherished Nana of Jeffrey, Bryan (Alana), Jeremy (Jacqui), Tyler, Spencer and Kyle. Loved great-Grandma of Riley, Liam, Addisyn, Layne, Hollynd, Isaac, Rhys, Briar and Violet. Betty enjoyed life to the fullest with her northern cottage providing a perfect escape and refuge for her family. An avid gardener, artist, and tennis player, Betty truly loved entertaining her family and many friends. A special ‘thank you’ to the kind and caring staff at Strathmere Lodge. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London on Thursday, January 11th, 2018 at 3:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Betty are asked to consider the Strathmere Lodge Ladies Auxiliary.

John, I was very sad to hear about your Mother. My condolences to you and Maryann and the boys. Kim
John and family, I have just now read of your mom's passing. I wish to convey my appreciation for both your parents .. particularly your father's influence of my GMAC career in the seventies. Those were terrific times and your dad was a wonderful and kind mentor to me. He had a lovely, authentic laugh that I still can hear. And your mom was terrific .. such a strong presense, such joie de vivre..!! You indeed are a lucky man to have had such terrific parents. And I know how very proud they were of you. I extend my warmest wishes and kindest regards to you and your sister.
