Peacefully at Henley Place, London, on Wednesday, June 29th, 2016 in her 80th year. Beloved wife of the late Jerry Welsh (2002). Loving mother of Larry, and Michael and his wife Chris, all of London. Also survived by her two loving grandchildren, Shawn and Taylor. Dear sister of Lloyd McGuffin (Brenda) of London and sister-in-law of Betty McGuffin, Martha Welsh and Richard Welsh. Predeceased by her brother George McGuffin (1996). The memorial service will be held at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Monday, July 4th, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior. Private interment at Woodland Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Betty are asked to consider the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Canadian Diabetes Association.

Larry, I was so sorry to hear about your mom dying. I have many good memories of her helping my aunt Jean (who lived across the street from you and your mom). I well remember the times your mom would cook something and bring it over for Jean and then would have a visit with her. I really remember your cutting Jean's grass and helping at her funeral. This will be a sad time for you, Larry. You will have so many memories of your mom. I know she loved you very much, and always tried to be there for you. My hope and prayer for you is that you grieve her loss, honour her memory, and do your best with life in front of you. That's what she would want for you, I think. Pax Sheila Granger
