After a courageous battle, Brenda Fania has gone to rest on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at the age of 68. Beloved wife of the late Matteo Fania. Dear mother of Joanne Nancekivell (Brent), Charlene Fania, and Mark Fania (Sarah). Cherished grandma of Brandon, Charlie, Connor, Matteo, Ainsley, and Aiden. Dear sister of Greg Lee (Kelly). Brenda will be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Brenda loved her family wholeheartedly and her presence will be forever missed.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 27, 2025 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Westview Funeral Home, 709 Wonderland Road North, London. A funeral service will follow in the chapel on Friday, November 28, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. Private entombment at St. Peter’s Cemetery, London. In lieu of flowers, donations in Brenda’s honour can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society Southwest Partners or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

I worked with Brenda at Pfizer Pharma from 1995 until 2000 when the plant closed and moved south. One day on the packaging production line we got chatting and she told me her maiden name was "Lee". I knew that name for certain. Turned out we had both gone to Princess Elizabeth P.S. and played at Rowntree Park in the Summertimes back in the 1960's. What a coincidence. My sincere condolences to her family and her brother Greg.
