Working with Bruce was a privilege and an inspiration. He was a blessing to our entire community. Wishing solace and fond remembrances to all of the Zubick family, and to all who loved him. "A blessing is not a blessing until it is shared."

The 1st Strathroy Scout Group has been bringing scrap metal and pop cans into Zubick's for eight years now, as a fund raiser for group activities and equipment. We are always looked after by respectful, cheerful and friendly Zubick's staff. Happy staff of any business are a reflection of the people running the place and in reading the comments here, about Bruce, it is plain to see why John Zubick Ltd. has such great staff. I have had the pleasure of several short conversations with Bruce over the years, as we conducted our scrap metal business; he exuded friendliness, and I was interested to hear of his own past experience with scouting. It is obvious, by the many comments, he was a person who didn't hold back from being involved, when he saw a need. The community was a better place because of Bruce. To Barb, your children and grandchildren, and the extended Zubick family, we were so saddened to hear of Bruce's passing. He was a rare good man with a big heart, and one of the best bosses I've had the chance to work for. He cared deeply about his employees, his community, and especially his family. We will miss his big smile, his hearty laugh, his sense of humor and endless stories. May your treasured memories, and the love and support of friends and family comfort you during this difficult time.

Dear Ruth & Norm and the rest of the Zubic family. I am at a loss for words to read the obituary in the newspaper and then to now read the wonderful words expressed by friends in this section. I understand what a wonderful person he was and that he was loved by so many people. I went to Sir Adam Beck when most of the Zubic kids went there, and I can picture all of you. So please accept my condolences and know they come from my heart.

We have always been impressed by the courteous, efficient and helpful staff , not to mention the extra support they have given to our mission projects in Bolivia. Dear Barb and family, we are so sorry for your loss. Bruce and I were Cub leaders together and he was very devoted to providing an excellent program while keeping it fun for the boys and leaders. I remember one camping trip when I found a bag of skunk cabbage tucked under the back of my tent and although he didn't admit to it I could tell from his giggle that Bruce put it there in fun. I was sorry to learn of Mr. Zubick's passing. Many years ago, he kindly provided metal for a unique project at Western University which brought together blended teams of Visual Arts and Engineering students to design custom bicycle racks. Bruce did have a great sense of humor and a good way about him. His smile was infectious. But there was much more to him. The whole Zubick clan carries a very special legacy. One started by his parents. They stood for loyalty, responsibility, and respect of one's fellow man. Bruce lived up to all of those virtues. Dear DadZ, I will never be able to thank you and Momz for the influence you both had on my life growing up. You were both my second parents. I'm heart broken that dadz has passed. I know Mom and Dad have very fond memories of Bruce and your family when your kids were growing up as next door neighbour's in Dorchester when you resided there. They loved having a chat or good laugh with Bruce whether in the driveway or through a fence. Always happy to share a story or just kabitz about the goings on in life. We would have a good laugh and carry on till the next time.
