Bruce Duncan Abercromby

Passed away peacefully in his home in London, Ontario on July 31, 2022, at age 65. He is lovingly remembered by his children, Melissa (Matthew) and Blair (Kristen); his grandchildren Josh, Daniel, Chloe and Noah; his sisters Carolyn (Rick) and Susan (Blaine); and his seven nieces and nephews and their children. He is predeceased by his parents Edith Elizabeth “Betty” (1995) and Ralph Duncan (2005).

Bruce had a generous heart and an adventurous spirit. An entrepreneur at heart, he owned a record store in Toronto and started his own roofing business. His skills as a tradesperson served him throughout his life and provided a source of livelihood that he took pride in. In his later years, he was a valued member of his neighbourhood community where he was known for his kindness and willingness to help others.

Bruce loved his children and his family immensely and was very proud of Melissa and Blair. His sense of adventure was reflected in road trips to Florida, an annual highlight for Melissa & Blair while growing up. His fun-loving spirit especially appealed to the grandchildren and grandnieces/nephews in his life, who remember him for thoughtful gestures like special pretzels, balloon art at family gatherings, small toys and even the occasional magic trick.

A private service will be held by the family.
