Byron F. Reid

Peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 29^th, 2014, Byron F. Reid of London in his 89^th year. Husband of the late Velma (Smith) Reid (2005). Loving Dad of Karon Sims, Kim and her husband Peter McCaw, all of London, and the late Captain Byron “Bruce” Reid (1979) and father-in-law of Dr. Mavis Hollman of Kamloops, B.C.   Dear brother of Crawford (Arlene) Reid of Waverley, N.S., the late Doug (Mary Jane of Lambeth) and the late Willis (Elaine of Selkirk). Cherished Gramps of Bryce Hollman and Papa to Kristin and Ryan McCaw. Great-grandfather of Jax and Ryker Hollman. Byron was a veteran of the Second World War serving overseas in England with the R.C.A.F. and greatly enjoyed singing tenor with the London Men of Accord barbershoppers. His passions later in life included golfing and time with his grandchildren. The Celebration of Life will be conducted at Oakridge Presbyterian Church, 970 Oxford Street West, London, on Friday, May 9^th, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior.
