Carol Lynda Redman

August 4, 2022

Carol Lynda Redman took her last breath and passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, August 4, 2022, just a few weeks shy of her 74th birthday. She leaves behind her children Michele (Michelle), Michael, Richard (Lissa); grandchildren Alyssa (Brett), Emily (Jake), Amanda, Jessica, Joseph, Victoria, Makayla, and Danica; and a growing number of great-grandchildren. Dear sister to Charlie (Sylvia) McDonell and aunt to Cecilia (Michael) and Jason (Lynda). Pride in her family was the legacy she upheld from her predeceased parents, Jerry and Phoebe McDonell. The moment she waited for most was to join her husband, soulmate and dance partner, Capt. Dennis Redman.

Carol loved to entertain and had a zest for life. She will be remembered for her fabulous singing with a gorgeous smile, a spread of appetizers and wine that made every visit with her special, her boisterous laughter, great conversation, serious focus during word games, a groove or a waltz on the dance floor and the courage to make new travel friends from around the world. As a smart businesswoman and gifted designer, Carol took pride in making hers and so many other people’s homes beautiful. May her most beautiful room in heaven be more than she ever imagined.

Friends and family are invited to share stories of her love and light on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., funeral service to start at 1:00 p.m. followed by appetizers. Family will proceed to a private burial and interment later that afternoon. A livestream is available for those who are unable to attend in person – please click here to register for the livestream scheduled for Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at 1:00 p.m.

Charlie, Sylvia & Carol’s Family, our deepest condolences on the loss of Carol. I remember Carol, Charlie and their parents singing at a local bar in Paincourt back in the late 1960’s. They were incredible entertainers. Also went to CKSS with them. Great memories. Her picture radiates happiness and an absolute love of life. Her obituary is a wonderful tribute to a very special lady. Take care of yourselves and each other as you celebrate a life well lived, but cut much too short.

Carol became a Jamaican soul sista about 10 years ago when we lucked into friendship at a chance meeting at Bar-B-Barn We kept in touch when in Ontario too. Carol was a loving, caring and fun gal. She was a wonderful hostess and a talented designer. She loved traveling and I was happy she was planning another adventure. She loved her family very much and yes we spoke about her love, Dennis. She can now be at peace. CHEERS🍷

Enjoyed many winters in Florida with Carol. She was so proud of her children, grand and great grandchildren. She shared her love for Dennis and missed him every day. Know that she is now with him and a at peace. I’m sure it was a surprise for all but she would have wanted us to raise a glass and toast happy memories. 💕

Michele, Michael, Richard & Charles and Silvia, I'm so very sorry to hear about Carol's passing. She had a spark for life and her smile lit up a room! At this very moment she is slow dancing with Dennis or showing him a new dance move. I will never forget the conversations we had during family campouts at Wheatley Provincial Park and did I mention man could she sing....runs in the family. We are very sorry we are unable to make the funeral but know that you are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
