Catherine Ann ‘Cathy’ Matthys

May 18, 2021

Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at St. Joseph’s Hospice, in her 66th year. Cherished by her brothers, Rick, Ken, and Jim. Cathy will be missed by her sisters-in-law, Judy, Kimberley, and Priscilla. Deeply loved and adored by her greatest joys – her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Predeceased by her loving husband, the late Ron Matthys (2015); and by her parents, Ronald (2005) and Pat (2003) Sullivan. Cathy is fondly remembered and missed by Ron’s family, and by her many friends and co-workers made through the years at London Life and Elgin Motor Freight. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Cathy are asked to consider St. Joseph’s Hospice of London.

My Deepest Sympathies to the Sullivan and Matthys Families. I am so heartbroken about Cathy's passing and will miss her dearly. From London to Calgary and back to London again She was always there for me. We had such great times and many laughs and I will cherish those always. In this difficult time I hope you find comfort in the memories you created with Cath. I know how much she loved all of you. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers. 💜 🙏

I was saddened to hear of the passing of Cathy. We worked together for a long time at Elgin Motor Freight. She was a great worker and always had a smile for everyone. My condolences to the families.

Cathy trained me when I first started in health claims at london life in 1973. She was a good worker and covered everything I needed to know. We had a lot of laughs while doing our job. She was always talking about her family , especially her brothers and her nieces and their hockey endeavors. My condolences to all the family. She will be missed.
