Chandra Lakshmikanthan
May 9, 2019
It is with great sadness we would like to inform you that Mr. C. Lakshmikanthan who was also lovingly referred to as Kanthan Uncle to many in the younger generation, passed away at 11:20am today at University Hospital, London, Ontario. He was 84.
Kanthan was full of life, always cheerful, always ready to lend a helping hand, and had the ability to bring laughter into any situation. He was a regular at many community events in London and Toronto. He remained very active until his last day, actually until the last minute. Really a blessed person.
We have lost a great, graceful and respected community member. Kanthan moved to Canada more than 4 decades ago. He had a distinguished career both in Canada and India. He is survived by his wife Achamma; two sons, Ravi and Vijai, and their wives Sneha and Sonal; and grandchildren Meghna, Ishan and Anish.
The funeral will be held on Friday May 10, 2019 at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, Ontario. Friends and family are invited to gather at 11:30 a.m.
