Such a kind and caring person - the best boss I ever had. I worked in his engineering department at ASCO every summer while I was in university. One time I had a car accident on my way to work and he came to the scene of the accident to help me. He patiently waited until my dad could get there before he left even though it meant he was late to work. That meant so much to me. He had a great sense of humour. He would always change the colours of the graphs on my excel spreadsheets. He thought it was funny (it was). He liked the colour “dusty rose” as he called it. A group of us (including him) would all go for walks at lunch together and eat outside at the picnic table together. He always had interesting things to say and I learned a lot from him. I am thankful for his wisdom and friendship over the years. He will be missed. My deepest condolences to Kathy and the rest of his family.

Saddened to hear, it was a privilege working with Chris at ASCO. I'll never forget that drum session we had in his basement. You will be missed, my deepest condolences to all the family & friends.

Chris was a good friend, both at work and after. I will miss GO train rides to see the Toronto Symphony, discussions about American politics and playing music together. Rest in peace, brother.

I met Chris back in 1990 when he interviewed me for a job. For reasons I’ll always be grateful, he decided to take a chance and hire me. As we worked together, we realized how much we had in common, and over time we became very close friends. Over the years we went in different directions, but we always stayed in touch. And every time we talked or got together, we instantly slipped right back into our old, unique ways from those early days. We traveled together, loved listening to and playing music, going to concerts, we met our wives around the same time, and we enjoyed geeking out over audio gear. Who will I do this with now? He is truly irreplaceable. I will miss our friendship beyond measure. RIP Chris My heartfelt condolences to Kathy and all those who love him.

Chris was more than a colleague, he was also a friend. We had many lunch time group walks and shared talks about our Dutch heritage. His kindness and humour will be missed.

Rest in peace my friend. You were truly a good man. I will miss our Scotch drinking together, your quick sense of humor and your compassion towards others. Forever in my heart ❤️. I will miss you.

I am so grateful to have been blessed with having such a kind hearted uncle in Chris. I will remember his great sense of humour, him playing drums and chatting about music. Most of all I will remember his positive spirit. He will be truly missed and forever in our hearts.
