Danica Stepancev

Passed away peacefully while surrounded by her children on Friday, May 31, 2024, at the age of 87. Most loving, dedicated, and cherished mom of Vladimir (Zorica) and Jelena (Goran). Proudest and beloved grandmother of Dusan (Carmen), Isidora, Nikola and Katarina, and great-grandmother of Elena. Predeceased by her husband Dusan, and parents, Milivoj and Bosiljka.

Danica will be remembered for her big, generous heart and her kind ways. She was an inspiring teacher and avid reader, known for her passion for music, playing the piano, and singing. She fought through many hardships and health battles with unbreakable determination and optimism. Having been through a difficult childhood and youth, Danica devoted her adult life to her children and grandchildren, who made up the entirety of her world. We will never forget her selfless and unconditional love, warmth, and affection. Leaving behind nothing but beautiful memories, her passing has created a void never to be filled. Danica was the heart and soul of our family, and will be eternally missed.

Visitation will be held at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London on Sunday, June 9, 2024, from 12 – 2 p.m.  Funeral service will be conducted at St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church, 5567 Wonderland Road South, London on Monday, June 10th at 10:00 a.m.  Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery, 493 Springbank Drive, London, on Monday, June 10th at 11:30 a.m.
