David ‘Dave’ Edward Hetherington

Suddenly at home on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at the age of 70. Loving father of Derek Hetherington (Meaghan) and Ryan Hetherington (Hayley). Remembered fondly by Jan Hetherington. Treasured brother of Anne Hill, Debbie Seguin (Bryan), Linda Hetherington and Joe Cook. Missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Joe Hetherington and Norah Johnston. Dave was a plumber for many years through local 593, joining in 1988, and retiring from Besterd Mechanical four years ago. Dave enjoyed fishing, music and travel. He loved fireworks and always looked forward to fireworks celebrations on May 24 and July 1, especially if he was the one setting them off. Cremation has taken place. Celebration of Life will be held at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London on Sunday, February 5, 2023 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Private family interment will be held at a later date. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Dave are asked to consider the London Health Sciences Foundation – Cancer Program or a charity of their choice.

My friend, for almost 50 years, and father of our sons. You will truly be missed.

He was my neighbor for many years and this was a huge loss to all of our neighbors. Dave will be missed by all of us and the children all loved him.
