David James Alexander Hunt

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of David (Dave) James Alexander Hunt on October 29, 2026, just one day shy of his 76th birthday.

Dave is survived by his wife of 51 years, Anna. Through the many ups and downs of life, they faced their share of challenges together, and Dave was often Anna’s rock and source of strength when times were tough. Together, they raised three daughters, Kristen, Lisa (Jon), and Erin (Luke), and were blessed with six grandchildren: Maddie, Amelia, Charlie, Penny, Nathan, and Tillie. Dave is also survived by his sisters, Virginia (Mike), Jackie, Barb (Brett), and his brother-in-law, Russell Muszketa (Mary), along with his extended family. He was predeceased by his parents, Jim and Yvonne Hunt.

Dave spent many years working at the Bank of Montreal before continuing his career as an independent financial advisor. In retirement, he spent many happy years working part-time as a starter at West Haven Golf & Country Club, his home away from home.

An avid golfer and lover of good music, Dave passed along his appreciation for the “oldies” to his three daughters, who will forever be reminded of him whenever a familiar song comes on the radio.

Above all, Dave took great pride in being a father and grandfather. Whether he was driving his daughters to and from school and work, teaching them how to swim, or showing up with a gas can when one of them inevitably ran out of gas, he was always there when they needed him. He never hesitated to drop whatever he was doing to help his girls, and they will forever be grateful for the countless ways he showed up for them over the years. As his health declined in later years, the roles may have changed, but the love and gratitude his family felt for him never did.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Country Terrace Long-Term Care for the compassion and care they provided to Dave during his final months. Your kindness meant so much to him and to our family.

Dave will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by those who knew him. A private family visitation and funeral service will be held at Westview Funeral Chapel in London, Ontario. Family and friends are warmly invited to join in a Celebration of David’s Life on Thursday, November 12, 2026, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at West Haven Golf & Country Club. All are welcome to attend, share memories, and celebrate his life.

As Dave would say at the end of every conversation:
