Dawn Marie Munday

Suddenly, following a heart attack in Toronto, on Thursday, December 11, 2025. Dawn was born in Goderich on November 14, 1950 to Captain Roy Munday and Mary (Schwanz) Munday (both deceased). Survived by her loving husband Paul Carson, and sisters Diane and Cheryl (Jim Weiss).
A graduate of The University of Western Ontario, Dawn was formerly the Senior Academic Counsellor in the UWO School of Health Sciences. She served as President of the former UWO Staff Association (UWOSA), the Professional & Managerial Association (PMA) and the Confederation of Ontario Staff Associations and Unions (COUSA). At St. Peter’s Cathedral Basilica, she was an active member of the Catholic Women’s League, and also served in many parish ministries and committees.
Visitation will be held at Westview Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 709 Wonderland Road North, London on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 from 6:00-9:00 p.m., with prayers at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Peter’s Cathedral Basilica, 196 Dufferin Avenue at Richmond, on Thursday, December 18 at 10:00 a.m.; Reception to follow at St. Michael’s Parish Hall, 511 Cheapside Street, London.

Paul, Mike and I wanted to send our sincerest condolences to you and all of your family. We are so grateful that we got to know both of you and we always very much enjoyed your hospitality and friendship over the years. She was such a wonderful person! Since we have been gone, I have always enjoyed the time I got to chat with her catching up after mass. We are sorry we are not in London to be able to attend her funeral.
