Dawn Snow (née Higgins)

Dawn has left to dance in another venue. Life gave her a good run at careers in pharmacy, dentistry, communications and fundraising. Through it all, she was always drawn back to the arts as a dancer, teacher and choreographer. Over the past two decades, she struggled against a balance disorder that took that away. Married for 55 years, she is survived by her son Douglas, husband Peter, her furry guardian Haico and a flurry of Snows. Always a ‘glass half full’ girl, Dawn rarely held back a helping hand, a hug or an opinion. Quick to anger or tears, she wore exuberance like a mantle, never preventing the girl in the woman from peeking through. Dawn managed to draw out something unique in each of us. She is gone now, but not lost to those who knew her – only to those who never had the chance. The family is grateful for the compassionate care Dawn received at London Health Sciences Centre, London Health At Home and VON.
As per Dawn’s wishes, crema
tion has taken place. A family remembrance will be held later in Alberta.

What a beautiful person you are. Bubbly, sunny, happy and fun loving every single time we met. I loved knowing you and sharing part of your journey for so many years.

My sincerest condolences to Dawn’s family. I remember her as my first and only dance teacher when I was four years old. She taught me in a studio near Bonnydale grocery close to where I lived. Such fond memories of when I was the lucky one chosen to present her with flowers at a dance recital. Such a loving and fun teacher. May your memories comfort you during this difficult time.
Peter please accept my sincere condolences on Dawn's passing. I was just thinking of both of you as I drove by your Hyde Park office location last week and was wondering how she was doing. I really enjoyed working with her and you over the years and missed her jovial smiles and laughter when I retired. Bob
I will never forget Dawn and her loving enthusiasm as our dance teacher back in the 60’s. What great memories of a special teacher. We all loved her to pieces. Condolences to all of you!
