With his family by his side at LHSC Victoria Hospital on April 11, 2011 in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Teresa. Loving father of John (Jennifer) and Desmond (Emma). Devoted and gentle grandfather and friend to Thomas, Matthew, Patrick, Stephanie and Sarah. Born in Dublin, Ireland, Des and Teresa came to London, Canada in 1965 where he worked at Northern Life for many years. Visitation, with vigil prayers, will be held on Sunday from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, April 18th, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Parish, 777 Valetta Street, London. Interment at St. Peter’s Cemetery immediately after the service. Memorial donations to the Holy Family Building Community Campaign would be greatly appreciated.
