Devin Twarowski

July 10, 2023

It is with profound sadness that the family of Devin Twarowski announces his peaceful passing on Monday, July 10, 2023 at the age of 35 years. Devin passed away at Victoria Hospital in London, ON with his loving family and girlfriend by his side.

Beloved son of Linda (Ted) of Aylmer and Mike of St. Thomas. Dear brother of Andrea (Adrian) and Emily (Tyler), and uncle to newborn baby Thomas. Loving partner to Caleigh, and dog dad to his beautiful Siberian Husky, Hunter.

Devin dedicated his life career to Costco, working very hard over the years and becoming part of the management team. He loved spending time with family and friends – nerding out over Star Wars and Harry Potter, or going out on his boat with his lifelong friend Anthony. Those who knew him enjoyed his quick wit, his infectious laugh, and his big hugs. He will be deeply missed by all of the wonderful people who loved him.

The family would like to thank the critical care nurses and doctors on the second floor of Victoria Hospital and the kind support that they provided for Devin in his last days.

Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received by the family at Westview Funeral Chapel on Thursday, August 3, 2023 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Humane Society London and Middlesex in Devin’s name.

Devin, "May your spirit live on forever in our hearts and souls.” We haven't seen you in a couple years but we watched you grow up with Derek. You were such a nice guy! Fond memories of you and Derek going to Air Cadets in your snazzy uniforms. Years later, we often look for you working on the floor at Costco. If you were there, you'd always stop to say, hello, with your smiling face and happy personality. Since we hadn't seen you lately at the store, we knew you moved up the ladder, into management, because that's the kind of person you were! What a shame that you were taken from this earth way too soon. “Rest in peace. You are gone but never forgotten." May your family be comforted by all the great memories they have. I'm sure they are so proud to have you in their lives.

It's been some time since we've talked Devin and I just found out this news minutes ago. It's heartbreaking to hear. You always cared for your family and were a great fur-dad to Hunter. I always enjoyed hearing the times that you and your father spent playing videogames. I will always remember your love of Star Wars as well and to that, I leave two quotes: “No one's ever really gone.” - Luke Skywalker “Death is a natural part of life. Rejoice for those who transform into the Force. Mourn them do not.” - Yoda You left a mark on people. My heartfelt condolences to your family.

I have tried to sit down & write this a couple of times. There are those rare people you don’t ever picture your life without. It isn’t just the pain of losing you now. But having to plan out a different future for ourselves. A future with one less rocking chair on the front porch reminiscing about the times we spent living life to the fullest. My biggest fear these past couple of weeks was how do you leave someone so vital, so relevant in the past. The answer came when putting together the last gift you ever gave us- you don’t. You’ll continue to be on every trip, at every family gathering & celebrating every holiday. I cannot put into words how much we will miss you, Devin. You are our friend, you are our family. Love you then, now, forever. You will stay in this world with us. Until we see you again.

Sending Deepest Condolences. Devin and I got hired together at Costco and to say back in that time that Costco front end was clicky would be an understatement. I didn’t make it very long but always cherished the friendship Devin blessed me with. He was the kindest young man and always offered a smile that made you feel like it was going to be ok. Almost 10 years later I started a position at Td and found myself in a similar situation and found a friend in Linda only to later discover she was Devins mom. A true testament to the love and upbringing Devin had with Linda. Linda, I am so deeply sorry for you loss. There are no words. Please accept my deepest condolences.
