Diane Beverly Litowski (née Maydanuk)

December 10, 2022

Peacefully with family by her side, at Victoria Hospital in London, on Saturday, December 10, 2022, in her 82nd year.  Born in Toronto on August 17, 1941, to the late Walter Maydanuk and Mary Maydanuk (née Kores). She will be greatly missed by William (Bill), her husband of 57 years.  Loving mother of Lynn Litowski (Aym) and Lori Janavicius (Alex). Loving grandmother of Katie and Jack.  An amazing seamstress, and in later years a quilter extraordinaire, she shared her talents through the London Quilters’ Guild, generously donating her works of art to various charities.  Additionally, she gifted many of her family members and close friends with her beautifully knitted socks!  Diane was passionate about politics and was a long-time member of the PC Party, donating numerous hours as a volunteer, making many lifelong friends.  She loved her family so much and appreciated all the many gatherings at birthdays and Christmases, enjoying great food and of course red wine!  Diane loved watching her grandson Jack play hockey, both live and online, and closely followed her granddaughter Katie’s progress at university pursuing a career in engineering.  A Celebration of Life will be conducted at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 2:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior.  Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Diane are asked to consider the LHSF – Cancer Program or a charity of your choice.
