Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, August 31, 2026, Diane Elizabeth Usher of London at the age of 73.
Born in Thunder Bay, formerly of Montréal and now of London. Pre-deceased by her parents, Milo and Juanita Martin. Beloved wife of Bob for 52 years. Cherished mother of Kris (Susan), Ken (Kim), Neil (Rebecca) and Angela Lahiri (Sujay). Proud grandmother of Ryan, Rachel, Cameron, Audrey, Elliott, Tristen, Nicholas, Tate, Joshua and James. Adoring great-grandmother of Violett. Missed by seven brothers and sisters, several cousins, many nieces and nephews, and dear friends.
Diane was proud to be a nurse for over 35 years, serving in the fulfilling area of stroke/ rehabilitation.
Visitation will take place at Westview Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 709 Wonderland Road North, London on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. There will be a private family interment.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Diane are encouraged to consider the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada.

I worked on the stroke team with Diane for 12 years before I retired from Parkwood. She was a very compassionate nurse and everyone loved her. My deepest condolences to Bob and her family. She will be greatly missed.
I first met Diane over 50 years ago when I was a young teenager. I was going out with her brother Murray, who I ended up marrying, and Diane was going steady with Bob. Murray often had to race home in time for curfew, and on the way he would give a quick wave to Diane and Bob who were too busy sharing a goodnight kiss on the corner of Maple Circle. And so it began. The loving partnership Diane and Bob shared for 52 years grew into a large, beautiful family that I was honoured to be a part of. Diane’s life and legacy will live on in all her family and everyone who loved her. We will all miss you Diane. ❤️

Diane was an amazing nurse . She was always the one to bring a sense of calm and competence to the crazy world of health care. Staff and Patients appreciated her strong clinical judgment and compassion. I feel truly blessed to have worked with her and be able to call her a friend. Rest in peace Diane
