Surrounded by his family, at University Hospital, on Friday, September 27th, 2019, at the age of 86.
Beloved husband of 30 years to Gabriela and predeceased by his first wife, Hedwig. Dear father of Jerome, Marcel, Paula (Greg) and Cristina. Loving Opa to Nicole. Also loved by his extended family in Germany.
A Memorial Reception will be held at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Friday, October 4th, 2019 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to The Kidney Foundation or The Salvation Army would be appreciated by the family.

Dear Gabriela and Family: Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family at this sad time. I'm so sorry that I could not come this afternoon in person to pay my respects, but my heart is with you. Dieter did the books for our church for many years and thankfully so, as he was a perfectionist and such a lovely man to deal with. It was always a pleasure to come to your home every year and see you both (and your sweet cat). We were all very blessed to have known Dieter. Dear Gabriela, I was so sorry to hear the sad news about Dieter. He was a very sweet man and I enjoyed our visits together when I lived in London.
