Dionildes ‘Dina’ de Jesus Viegas Teodoro
January 3, 2022
Peacefully passed away at Chelsey Park on Monday, January 3, 2022, Dionildes of London, in her 91st year. Beloved wife of Manuel Teodoro of 65 years this April and forever cherished mother of Jorge Teodoro (Betty Ann), Margaret Teodoro (Tony) and José Teodoro (Durvalina). Dionildes was the youngest daughter of João and Maria Teresa Viegas; sister to Maria, Jesus, and João (all deceased). Wonderful loving Avó and sadly missed by five grandchildren: Dina, Daniel, Nikolas, Marissa, Rebecca, and several nieces and nephews. Dionildes was born in São Brás de Alportel, Algarve, Portugal and immigrated from Lisbon Portugal to London, Ontario, Canada in 1959 with her husband, Manuel, and their first-born, Jorge. Their goal was to settle into Canadian ways, work hard, and provide a better life for their children. They exceeded their goals. After retirement Dionildes and Manual enjoyed traveling. They voyaged across Canada, and took annual trips to her homeland, Portugal. Dionildes loved spending time with her family, traditional Portuguese cuisine, gardening, animals, and walks in nature. Funeral service will be conducted at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at 2:00 p.m., with a visitation one hour prior. Proof of double vaccination and registration will be required to attend.

If I can stop one heart from breaking,
I shall not live in vain;
If I can ease one life the aching,
Or cool one pain,
Or help one fainting robin
Unto his nest again,
I shall not live in vain.
– Emily Dickenson
Always loved. Never forgotten. Forever missed.
Até que nos encontremos novamente.
