Don William Bowden

Passed away peacefully on January 24^th, 2013 at the age of 79.  He was the most wonderful father to Larry and Randy (Maria) Bowden, and the proudest Papa to Josh, Sheena, Paul, Sara, Lauren and Julia Bowden.  Loving brother and brother-in-law to Bob (Doreen), Terry (Sharon), Pat (Bill) Wheeler, Marilynn, Sharon (Marty) La Clair, Gary, Diane (Gene) Martin, Brenda (Wayne) Simpson, Doris (Bill) Knight, Delina (Earl) Teskey, Tim Hoy and Dolly Hoy.  Predeceased by his parents Harry and Vera (McDonald) Bowden and siblings Marj (Chub) Edward, Wanda Young, Marvin (Audrey), Valerie, and by his brothers-in-law Clarence, Bob and Terry Hoy.  Don will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, as well as by the Martin families from Port Albert.  Don was a kind and gentle man.  His pleasure was simply being surrounded by his family, and now he has been reunited with his one and only true love:  our mother Donna, who passed away just over six months ago.  They are now together forever and are able to celebrate their 60^th wedding anniversary this February 28^th in each other’s arms.  Thank you to Don and Donna for being such great parents and grandparents.  We will love and miss you forever.  Visitation will be held on Monday from 3:00 – 5:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where the funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, January 29^th, 2013 at 1:00 p.m.  Cremation to follow.  Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Don are asked to consider the Alzheimer Society.
