November 9, 1925 ~ March 2, 2019

Peacefully, after a brief illness at University Hospital, London, Ontario. Beloved partner of Catherine Proudfoot. Survived by children James (Suma), Ian (Susan), and Patricia (Steven). Loved grandpa of David, Michael, Edie, and Lauren. Remembered by brother, Bert (Helen), and by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Rosemary; sisters Edna and Dorothy; and brothers: Allan, Gordon, Reginald and Harold. Don grew up in Winnipeg and served in the RCAF, inspiring a life-long interest in flying, before taking a B.Sc. at the University of Manitoba, and an M.Sc. at the University of Guelph. He worked for many years in quality assurance at Labatt’s, and found time to enjoy the great outdoors with a circle of old friends, as well as to travel, play golf, curl, and master duplicate bridge. A Celebration of Life will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 2:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior. Interment will be before the service at 11:00 a.m. at Woodland Cemetery. For more information, please email Donchunnfamily@yahoo.com. Uncle Don ( never could really stop myself from using the title ) is, and will be greatly missed by the 'twins'. It was always a pleasure, when I travelled to London to see family, to spend time getting together with my uncle and aunt for many years. Then visiting Don and Cathy in the last few years. Your kindness was always greatly appreciated.
