Donald “Don” Carter

August 4, 2022

As was his wish, Don passed at home, surrounded by his family, on Thursday, August 4, 2022. Beloved husband of Sheila for 60 years. Loving father of Kimberley (John) and Brad (Jen). Cherished Grandpa and Poppy of Carter, Jacob (Alexandra), Lucas, and Tye. Dear brother of Heather Guit and brother-in-law of Jim Arnold (Bev). Predeceased by his parents Don and Vera Carter.

Don was a retired Bus Operator after being employed for 37 years and one day by London Transit. He was a member of the East London Moose Lodge #1300, and the Royal Canada Legion Branch #317. He was Santa Claus to many, many children over the years.

The family would like to thank Saint Elizabeth, V.O.N., and Dr. Hamilton for their care and compassion.

Don will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Visitation will be held at Westview Funeral Chapel (709 Wonderland Road North, London) on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., where a funeral service will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Interment to follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Don are asked to consider the London Health Sciences Foundation – Cancer Program.
