Donald ‘Don’ Dinwoodie Gray

August 17, 2021

Sadly passed on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at University Hospital. Loving husband of Barbara (née O’Brien) for 68 years. Father of Daniel, Pamela, Robert, and Tim. Grandfather of eight and great-grandfather of eleven. Brother of David (Lois), of B.C., and Margaret Pawelek (Rick), of Sault Ste. Marie. Predeceased by his parents, Duncan Gray and Margaret MacLeod; and by his siblings and their spouses: John, Robert (Dorothy), Mary Hodgins, Elizabeth Sheridan (Jack), and Douglas Gray (Patricia). Don retired as a purchasing agent from Ford Motor Company of Canada, St. Thomas, ON. He was always there for “one and all” and ensured that everyone got what they needed. He loved to travel and he enjoyed life. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Don are asked to consider the Alzheimer Society London and Middlesex.

Barb,Danny, Pam, Bob, Tim, Kim, My heart goes out to all of you my brothers and sisters of my additional family.. I'll always remember Don as the most intelligent and funniest people I've ever known ! The one memory that comes to mind is when I was playing baseball against the Bothwell team and Don was in real good form with yelling out zingers to the opposing team...it got to the point when one of our guys was fouled by their 2nd base.. well, Don had such a field day with this kid that, the kid got so incensed, the umpire removed him from the game for misconduct.. the whole crowd began to applaud Don and encouraged him to stay standing behind the Bothwell bench, but the fun was over and the coach had to almost restrain the player.. It was the best night I ever had playing baseball the whole year ! He also had a heart of gold and was there for my parents when we lost my brother.. He was a very good man and shall be missed ! All of my love to you all barb ,Da, Pam, Bob, Tim, Kim.

Don was my very favorite Father-In-Law. I have loved him for @44 years. I haven't heard a cross word from him before. He has been happy and loving towards Bob's (his middle son) and my children; Jessica, Rebecca, Vanessa and Melissa.. His great grandchildren from Bob's lineage were: (Jessica) Presley, Conner & Sophie; (Rebecca) Ava & Ethan; (Vanessa) Abbi; (Melissa) Maks, Makenzie, Annie & Theo. All of these loved ones will dearly miss Grandpa & Great Grandpa. Don and Bob worked at the same Ford Talbotville Plant for many years. This connected the families just a little bit more. It will all be good when we will be together again. For now angel Don can help protect us , should we need it as we travel through our daily lives. Rest In Peace, Don, Dad, Grandpa & Great Grandpa.
