Ran into Don in a London restaurant a few years ago and he seemed well. Though we haven't been in touch of late, we were very close growing up in Dobie. I cherish many great memories of Don throughout my life and will always value his support when my father passed. So very shocked and saddened. Wondering about the circumstances. Please advise. Sincerely, Lorne Rhamey (519) 533-1652
Don and I go back 51 years to my first year of university. There are too many stories to recount but suffice it to say that my first born son's middle name is Donald. We never lost track of each other, and even after an extended time lapse between contacts, we always picked up right where we left off from the last conversation. The unintended consequence of his passing is that so many mutual friends who have lost contact with each other have already reconnected. Don is smiling at that right now. I will miss him.
I am so sorry to hear this. I was Mr Ford's travel agent at Amex for the past few years. He loved travelling and taking photos. He was always so kind and thoughtful and one of my favorites . And even though there was no travelling this year, we kept in touch . He talked about his surgery, and we spoke after he returned home after his first procedure. He was hoping to get better . So this is a very big shock. He was so kind and supportive and such a fine person that I feel that we have lost a very good person too soon. Rest in peace Mr Ford. I will miss making your travel arrangements. You are now on your new journey and god is your new travel agent. " God bless all of his family

I went to university with Don and for years afterwards we would meet in Toronto for dinner while on business. My husband and I stayed with him in London,England when he was there and he warmly welcomed our niece from Germany as well. When he returned to London, Ontario we spent many times together helping him reestablish and connect here. We sure had our differences of opinion but we are sad to hear of his passing and will enjoy the happier memories of times together. He was a unique individual and he loved his family, especially his many nieces and nephews. Our condolences to you all.
