Donald (Don) Norman Wellington Billett

Peacefully, at University Hospital on Friday, July 8th, 2016 in his 88th year, with family by his side. Survived by his dear wife Blanche “Missy” (née McColl) McNeil Billett. Loving father of Lynn (Dave) Hill, of Grand Bend, Cindi Atkinson (Angel Anglehart), of London, and stepfather of Patrick (Nicole) McNeil, of Courtice. Grandfather of Brad Hill, of Grand Bend; Shannon (Davey) Volman, of Toronto; Dylan and Brodie Atkinson, of Toronto; Isaac and Eva McNeil, of Courtice; and Melissa, Andrew and Kathryn (Katie) Verdoni, all of Mississauga. Also survived by great grandchildren Darah, Callum and Kiera Volman, of Toronto. Missed by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his loving wife Juanita “Neat” (née Taylor) Billett (1998); his siblings: Helen, Muriel, Ross, Joseph, Kenneth, Wilfred and Gerald; and by step-daughter Amber (McNeil) Verdoni (2007). Don was born and raised in Chatham and spent his entire career in the transportation industry working in sales, supervisory and management positions in several cities. Don was also a past member of the London West Rotary Club (1974). Friends will be received on Sunday from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where the funeral service will be conducted on Monday, July 11th, 2016 at 3:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior to the service. Cremation and interment at Woodland Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Don are asked to consider the London Regional Cancer Program, the Palliative Care Unit at University Hospital or your charity of choice.

I wish to express my Deepest Sympathy to all of Don's family at this sad time. I was honored to be Don's caregiver & good friend to he & his loving wife ,Blanche for severa l years.RIP Don.
My deepest sympathies to Blanche and her entire family. Don was a lovely man and a true gentleman. He will be greatly missed. God bless you all.
