Donald Victor Thompson

Peacefully at Parkwood Hospital on Monday, November 14th, 2011. Sadly missed by his beloved wife Sheila, daughters Jeanette and Heather and cherished grandchildren Elijah, Cailee and Joey. Predeceased by his loving wife Inez (1978). Survived by many nieces and nephews. Don served with the Royal Canadian Regiment 1950-1975 and was a Member of Duchess of Kent Legion, Branch 263. He was a life member of the following, Korea Veteran’s Association, Unit 4; Sergeant’s Mess of Wolseley Barracks; and Carling Heights Optimist Club. Visitation will be held at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Saturday, November 19th, 2011 from 12:00-1:00 p.m. where a Royal Canadian Regiment, Korea Veteran’s Association, Legion and Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the London Area Food Bank or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.

Dear Sheila & Family So sorry for your loss.We will always remember Don as Santa.He will be missed. Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time Stan & Sharon & Family & all the kids he visited in our home over the years on on Christmas Eve.
