Donalda Ann Salter (née Williams)

December 29, 2025

Passed away peacefully on December 29th, 2025, in her 96th year, with family by her side.

Beloved wife of the late William “Bill” Salter (2018).   Cherished mother of Mike (Janet), Liam (Olivia Adams) and Steve (Linda Gionet).  Loving grandmother of Colin (Cassie Yount), Eric (Amanda Martino), Samuel (Mayssa Ouassou) and Jessie (Tobby Beliveau). Sadly missed by family and friends, including her lifelong friends from kindergarten, Marg and Marion.

Donalda loved being a high school teacher of home economics, as it was then known, inspiring numerous students.  She enjoyed many crafts, golf, bridge and most importantly spending time with her family—they were everything to her and she was an enthusiastic spectator at many of their sporting events.  In her later career, Donalda worked to enhance the lives of seniors through arts, crafts and tap.

The family sincerely thanks the staff at Arbor Trace Memory Care Centre and the 6th-floor nurses at University Hospital for their care and compassion.

Visitation will take place at Westview Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 709 Wonderland Road North, London. Friday, January 2, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.  Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m.   Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery. For those unable to attend the service a livestream is available.
