Peacefully, at McCormick Home on Wednesday, January 31, 2018, Doris Biesenthal of London in her 86th year. Devoted wife of Dr. Robert Biesenthal. Cherished mother of Heather Guild (Iain). Proud grandmother of Emily, Nicholas, Jenny, Iain (Tara) and great-grandmother of Theo and Sunny. Dear sister of Rev. Don Hansford (Angie). Pre-deceased by her sister, Ruth Hansford and her brother, Ron Hansford. Missed by her sisters-in-law, Claire Hansford, Kay Weppler, Marlene Arnold, nieces, nephews and many dear friends. Doris enjoyed bridge, gardening, travelling, volunteering and her time at the family cottage. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London where a memorial service will be conducted on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Flowers are graciously declined. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Doris are asked to consider McCormick Dementia Services or Calvary United Church, London. The family wish to express a sincere thank you to the staff of Memory Lane at McCormick Home. Also, thank you to her family physicians, Drs. Bob and Heather Dunkerley.

Heather & Bob - Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. We have such nice memories of the many times spent with cousin Doris, at family reunions and her visits with us in the Valley. We do cherish those happy times together. Our love to all the family.
I was saddened to learn of Doris' passing, but she is now free from her earthly suffering. Because of her many interests and positive outlook on life, it was always a pleasure chatting with her at church! May knowing that she is now in God's eternal care give you comfort.

Mrs. B will be sadly missed but she has left us with terrific memories. Since Grade 3 she has always looked out for all of us kids from old south...and continued to do that for many years. Just a great lady! Big hugs out to Beaz and Dr. B.
