Dear Patti and family, I'm so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. Although she had a good long life and a loving family still, it is not easy to say goodbye. I remember her fondly from various sleep overs at the MacDonald house from Elementary and Secondary school days! Please know that you are thought of at this difficult time. in sympathy, Betsy
We were together remembering Auntie Doris and how gracious her hospitality always was when we were on our way to Grandma's for our summer vacation every year. The first thing everybody mentioned was that fabulous Vienna cake she always served while we were there. That is a cake we have been trying to replicate for years, and it never comes out the way Aunt Doris' did. We miss all of you and we are feeling your loss. We know we haven't been the best at keeping in touch. Know that we think of you often. We hope that we can re-connect in the near future. With love and sympathy to all, Terri. I did not meet Doris until the latter part of her life, and we did not spend a lot of time together, but she made a very positive impression on me. I loved her smile, her capricious spirit, her warmth, and her laughter. I admired her natural horticultural skills, and I'm sure that her beautiful flower beds were the envy of her neighbors. My sister, Annette, was lucky to have such a wonderful mother-in-law. I will remember her with fond memories.
