Dorothy ‘Dolly’ Margaret Collyer

Dolly, in her 104th year, passed away peacefully at McGarrell Place in London, on Friday, February 22, 2019. Predeceased by twin sister Betty (Jack), brother Graeme (Jean) and daughter Margaret (leaving behind husband Peter). Mother of Richard (Rena), Donald (MaryAnn) and Maureen. Grandmother of Christopher (Julie), Joan (Lon), Carolyn (John), David (Nancy), Brent (Jennifer), Bradley (Deborah), Miranda (Michael), Laura, Rebecca and Scott (Madeline). Great-grandmother of 17. She also leaves behind her dear friend, Don Stoyle. Many thanks to the staff at McGarrell Place for their loving care of Dolly. No funeral or burial services will be held. A memorial to celebrate Dolly’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Optimist Club of Middlesex/London.

I was scrolling on Google images and found a sweet old lady who recently passed away, she looked kind. My condolences to the family and may she rest in paradise.
Dave and I extend our condolences to you Don, Mary Ann and to all your family members. The lovely photo of your Mum shows a woman of strong character with some mischief in her eyes too! My Aunt Dolly was a grand lady who lived life to the fullest! She did things her way and be damned to those who disagreed. She was an independent and feisty woman and always treated myself and my family kindly. Her twin sister was my mom and was just as feisty as her. I can imagine that they were quite a pair in their younger years. My condolences and fond memories to her children, grandchildren & great- grandchildren. If you have any of that strong willed personality in you, thank Aunt dolly for that.
