To - Jack COWAN and Family - I just heard from my wife Kathryn ( I am currently in Zagreb, Croatia at Junior World Wrestling Championships ) that Jack's MOM -Mrs. Dorothy Mae COWAN has passed away. I am sorry to hear that, my and my family condolences to JACK and his family. I have known Mrs. Cowan as gentle and loving woman that would converse and talk with any friends of Jack's - including me. The last time that I recall that Mrs. Cowen was at Western University function with many Cowen family members was in 2011 - when JACK COWIN was given the UWO Alumni Awards of Merit - Professional Achievement Award. She was very proud MOM and I and Peter Michienzi had an opportunity to chat with her. One of my fondest memories of Mrs. COWIN was that on surprise visit that I made to her with flowers ( when she lived in a condo) and her grandchildren and great grandchildren were visiting her from Australia I took some photos. She took the time to write me a note of Thank You - that was Mrs. COWAN. A great Lady and a kind soul, I will always remember her.
To Jack and Carol and families- a great Lady and proud Mother. We remember her well not only from recently renewing acquaintances with the family but from our days as schoolmates and neighbors at Cliffside Beach near Kingsville which have proven to be quite unforgettable for all of us. Our sincere condolences on her passing.
Dear Jack & Sharon and family, I am so sorry to read of your mother, Dorothy's passing. I had the pleasure of meeting her on a few occasions. As well as having a lovely chat with her, at the end of June, about my recent wedding, when she actually called to speak with Dad. I will always remember her with a smile for she took us in as if we were her own.
She was my Grandma and one of my very best friends.
Jack and Carol and families, I've just learned of Dorothy's passing. My sincere condolences on the loss of a great woman. I loved visiting with her and will miss her wonderful sense of humour. My thoughts are with you.
