Please accept our sincere condolence for the loss of your brother and Uncle Doug. We have enjoyed his company at our family celebrations over the years. He would quietly watch all the activity, adding to the conversation when there was a chance for him to do so. Doug never seemed to mind all the hustle and noise that our family was so good at supplying. I remember how eager he was to plan mom’s 60th surprise birthday party. He was sure to include all of us for that special day. Doug was a kind and generous man. We will all miss him. Sincerely, Mike and Carol Dorssers and family

Please accept our sincere condolences for the loss of Douglas Lloyd Thomas. Doug was a cousin and good friend. Doug assisted me in selling of the cattle and other things on the Zinkan Farm in 1965. We grew apart but we got back together again after his Mom passed away in May of 1999. We had lots of great times & parties. We had a great winter holiday with Ruth & Doug in Mission Texas at The Lemon Tree RV Park in 2008. Doug will be missed by everybody that was near him. We pray that God & Jesus are taking good care of Doug Now. Amen.

My sincere condolences to Ken, Ruthie, Barb and family. Dougie was a great person and we shared many a phone conversation since we both found ourselves in London. He loved to talk on the phone and when the phone rang about 4:00 p.m. I knew it was Doug and would settle in for a hour to a hour and a half conversation, solving all of the world's problems and most Important who should be voted off "Dancing with the stars" that week. The call only ended when it was time for the news. He loved to go the park for barbeques and it took him a long time to realize that it was OK to watch TV as much as you wanted. He was always cooking something and canning saurkraut or yellow bean salad or chili sauce. That was always part of our conversation "what's for supper?" We always discussed what was in the Ayr paper that week. I will miss him but have lots of fond memories of our get-to-gathers, he was the glue that kept us all together.
