Earl Leroy Jefferies

Passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 3rd, 2013, at Middlesex Terrace, Delaware, in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Dolores (Tootie) Jefferies. Predeceased by first wife Elva Garrett and son Earl Jr. (Spunky) Jefferies. Dear father of Danny Jefferies, of Calgary, Brian (Jenny) Thomson, of Ingersoll and Kasey Thomson, of Mt. Brydges. Precious Papa and Grandfather of Shawna, Jason, Samantha, Kristina, Jacob, Diedre (Aaron) and Kristin (Christina). Great Grandpa of Sierra, Kyla, Keyan, Allysa, Taylor and Johnathan. Special uncle of Sharon and Paul Nichols and family. Survived by sister Lillian and predeceased by seven sisters and four brothers. Earl was born and raised in Komoka and was a market gardener for many years. Earl was known for his life-long passion of farming and for his bright, wide smile, and will be well-remembered by many vendors at the Covent Garden Market. Earl also immensely enjoyed looking after his chickens. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where the funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, March 7th, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Private family interment of ashes at Woodhull Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Muscular Dystrophy Canada or the Parkinson Society.

To the Jefferies Family:...I am so sorry to hear of Earl's passing. I am unable to make it down that way....but I am thinking of everyone at this sad time.....May God bring you comfort. It will be one year this Friday , March 8th, that I lost my husband.....so I feel your pain...

Dear Kasey, Tootie and the entire Jefferies family. My last visit with Earl was Dec 24th 2012 and my lasting memories of him will always be from that date on. It was my Christmas Eve with Earl and it was awesome! God Bless.
