Suddenly, at his residence on Wednesday, March 5th, 2014 in his 40th year. Beloved husband of Anita and proud father of Darian. Loving son of Eddie (Audrey) McMeekin and son-in-law of George (Donna) Messing. Dear brother of Melanie Brown, Heather McMeekin, Craig McMeekin and brother-in-law of Theresa (David) Nicholson, George Messing (Rebecca Ward). Special uncle to Reese and Jack Nicholson. Ed will be sadly missed by anyone who met him. Ed had a passion for cars, engines and travel but his greatest passion was being a loving and caring husband and father. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where the memorial service will be conducted on Wednesday, March 12th, 2014 at 11:00 a.m.

Just to say Edward had a Mother who loved him deeply, a sister Lyndasay Brown and a brother Joshua to a loving Step Father David Brown who he was by his bed side as he died. Almost a year to four years. We grew up together. In the name of in order of sibblings, myself Lyndsay Alma Brown, Joshua David Brown, Heather McMeekin, and Craig Mcmeekin. Myself being the only full blooded kin, My Brother who I know wth no disrespect. My Mother who bore my Brother is Elizabeth Alexandria Lennox our Father Edward Gorden McMeekin, have the Love.. please x x x Just LOVE for ED and his family who took care of him all these years.

There are no words to remove the grief. No flowers that can end this pain. Comfort comes from the memories and laughter and love shared. Comfort comes from Ed’s impact and his light in all of you. Dear Brother, you are sadly missed by myself your loving Sister. I love you very much and you were a huge part of my life although I have been in England for sometime. I am coming home and will be there to support your Wonderful Wife Anita and your Son Darian through this most difficult time. I am heartbroken but I hope and pray you are at peace and that your soul be with you. He was my best friend for more than 20 years..... My condolences go out to his whole entire family ....but mostly to Anita and Darrien. He will be sadly missed as a husband to his beautiful wife Anita and as a father to his wonderful son Darrien.....but mostly to me.... as a best friend that I could always count on.
