Edward “Ed” Terry
July 10, 1948 - June 13, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we inform you that Ed passed away peacefully on Friday, June 13, 2025, at home in London, Ontario.
Predeceased by his mother and father Rosella and John, his brother Sam, and his sisters Patricia and Theresa.
Left to mourn, his wife of 54 years, Kaye (née MacKinnon) and sons Darcy (Toronto), and James (London). Ed had a very special bond with his grandson Jonathan Terry. Also survived by his brothers Tom in Newfoundland, and John (Wendy) in Candle Lake, Saskatchewan, as well as his sister Barbara in Toronto. Left as well were several nieces and nephews.
Ed was born in Chapels Cove, Newfoundland, on July 10, 1948. He was a member of the RCMP from 1969 to 2003.
Ed was an avid golfer and loved to fish on the Thames River, where he practiced catch-and-release fishing.
We would like to thank all the medical staff who showed care and compassion through his illness. As per Ed’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Westview Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 709 Wonderland Road North, London. Those wishing to donate in Ed’s memory are asked to consider the Verspeeten Family Cancer Centre.

Kaye and family: - It is with great sadness that today we learned of Ed's passing. We remember very fondly the good times we had together with you and Ed during the time you were stationed here. Kaye, it is with fond memories of our times together in Gander that we learned today of our friends departure from our midst. Oh…the great times we all spent together and those are the days you should remember and keep close to your heart. Memories are ultimately are our way ahead and to that acceptance we will forever keep Ed in our Q. God Bless and R. I. P. Edward.
Auntie Kay, Darcy, Jamie and Jonathan, I am so very sorry for the loss of Uncle Edward. He loved you all so very much. He was an awesome Husband, Dad and Grandfather, Brother and Uncle. Kaye and Family : please accept our condolences on the passing of Ed. From the first time I met you and Ed at Firerock Golf Course I knew we had a special friendship started. There are so many fond memories of our group enjoying a round and the social times after. So many stories were told. Please hold all your memories in your heart and know he is free of pain.
