Grandpa, you are forever in our hearts and will be missed dearly. A golden treasure is now in heaven with my dad. Take care of each other XO

Ed .. you were quite the driver .. Irene I love you .. you were always the lady for Ed .. I'm so sorry that you will not have him in your life .. but rest assured, he will be watching over you as Dad is watching over Mom .. Love you .. xo

(inspired by a poem of Ed's) At Last Secure As now they lay him down to rest he is at last secure from storm and wave of Life's tempest: He did his best; his heart was true. For country and for liberty he left behind his home. Aboard the "Skeena", with convoys plenty he fought the subs beneath the foam. To cheer full many a drooping heart he played the jolly fellow. Left a hundred "Korky" works of art for friends and strangers here below. There's family born and family found, and the generous heart he holds them both. The stranger, too, with welcome sound his gentle voice comforted in truth. God rest this noble sailor Lad! The guns's salute, hymns, prayer shall cease. Yet his Spirit, now in white sails clad shall take fair winds to realms of peace.
