My thoughts and love go out to you, Dwyer family; Elaine was a dear friend to our family and an incredible, beautiful person in every way. Growing up she was my "mother across the street", always warm and welcoming to the Faulkner kids. To my mother, Elaine was a best friend, someone to confide in, and a partner to sit on the porch with a glass of wine - their laughs easily heard from across the street at either house. That kind of relationship between neighbours is something special and takes a special person, which Elaine was. She will always be an important part our lives and we'll always be grateful for the time we had with her. I wish I could be there with you today but I send all my love and deepest sympathies from across the country.

~ Nick Faulkner

Dwyer Family, although we are far away, our hearts are always with you. Elaine was such an important part of our lives growing up across the street from you. What started as neighbours became friends, and over time that grew into one big family. Elaine was a second mother to all of us, and will forever remain with us as an inspiration to be always strong, always brave, always optimistic, and to live life to the fullest. We will miss her everyday, but as long as we carry her legacy she will never truely be gone. We love you all, and you are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time xoxo.
