Elisabeth ‘Betty’ Kleiber

June 26, 2020

KLEIBER, Elisabeth (Betty)

May 21, 1920 – June 26, 2020

It is with deep sorrow that our family announces the peaceful passing of Elisabeth Kleiber, in her 101st year, with her loving daughter by her side.

Betty was born in Vohwinkel, Germany and immigrated to Canada in 1951. She was a resident of Old South London for 65 years.

Betty had a heart overflowing with love and kindness and greatly valued her lifelong friends and neighbours who supported her, shared stories and life experiences, and enhanced her life over so many years. Her garden was her sanctuary and pets brought her a special joy and happiness.

Betty was predeceased by her loving husband August Kleiber; sisters Martha, Johanna, Anne and brothers Willi, Hans and Paul. She is survived by her sister Grete.

She will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her son, William (Deborah), daughter, Monica and cherished granddaughters, Morgan and Erin.

The family wishes to thank SE Health, LHIN, Lambton Elderly Outreach, Bayshore Health Support Groups, South Huron Hospital, Exeter and VON for the kindness, compassion and tender care given to Betty over the years.

A private service will be held and interment to take place at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.

Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Betty are asked to consider the South Huron Hospital Foundation or a charity of your choice

Bill (Debbie) Kleiber, Monika Kleiber, Morgan & Erin, So sorry to hear about Betty. Well at least she and Martha have finally joined the rest and are having a family reunion. Wow 101 is nothing to complain about. She lived a great life full of great things with great people in it. May she RIP. PS Bill I am so glad she got to live to be 100 and that your family experienced a relative that lived to be 100 years old. I am sure Greta is at that age now too.

Bill (Debbie) Kleiber, Monika Kleiber, Morgan and Erin, May she RIP! What a good age? She and your family had a good many years together doing a lot of great things together. Your Aunt Martha would have been proud you had her into her 100's. So sorry that she passed but now she is at peace and can remember things again and her biggest memory was the sister she was so close to and that was Martha. They were tight and now they are up there together having their cup coffee together and catching up on things they have missed out on together. May she RIP. Or deepest sympathies to you and the whole family. Ross (Judy) Muzylowsky (1622 Borden Street)
