Elizabeth ‘Anne’ Doreen Muir

Passed away peacefully on Friday, January 7, 2022, at McCormick Home, Anne Muir of London (Komoka), at the age of 85.
Anne was predeceased a month earlier by her husband John and is survived by her daughter Jane (Andy) and her sons Jonathan (Patty) and Andrew, as well as her grandchildren: Emma, Ben, Adam and Kingsley.
Anne was born to parents Jack and Grace Wilson on January 26, 1936, in Morpeth, Northumberland, England. Anne and John emigrated to Canada in 1961 and after settling in Saskatoon, the family moved to London, Ontario in 1970.
In 1985, Anne and John moved to Komoka, where they bought a farm. Anne, a true animal lover, fulfilled a lifelong dream of owning and riding horses. She spent many happy years both in the riding ring and mucking out the stalls of Copper, Piper and Hamish alongside her many Great Danes and westies. When she wasn’t riding, Anne enjoyed playing golf as a long-time member of the London Hunt and Country Club.
Anne’s family would like to express their thanks to the incredible staff at McCormick Home who took such great care of her over the last five and a half years.
A private family gathering for both Anne and John will take place at a future date. In memory of Anne, donations to the McCormick Care Foundation or the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada would be greatly appreciated.

To the entire Muir family, we are so sorry for your loss. Anne certainly loved her family and her animals. Gerald has so many memories of working with Anne on her various projects. She will be missed.
