I have lost a friend of more than 45 years. Our friendship continued after retirement and at least once a year we dined and exchanged good memories. We never missed making the phone calls on our birthdays. Many thanks to Cyril and Julie for communicating with me since I saw her last in 2009 in London. My sincere condolences to all members of her large family. She was a "Grande Dame", strong, courageous and devoted to her family and helping people. Good Bye Madame Chalykoff, friends forever.

Our sincerest condolences on the loss of a grand dame indeed. Ella and our mother Jeanne (Bégin) Wilson rekindled their friendship after 60+ years here in London, Ontario, at Longworth Retirement Residence in 2010. One day in early January of that year, mom passed this sweet lady in the hallway and said she knows her...her friend from Hearst, Ella Aubin. Imagine, at over 90 years of age, these two girlfriends should become residents at the same time when both families had to make a decision for the placement of their parent(s). Together they had several fireside chats at their new home, reminiscing times spent in Hearst. One story was when Ella's mother , Mrs Aubin, would welcome Jeanne into their house to warm up on those cold winters days when she had to walk from school to the Bégin farm across the river. The two of them chatting, laughing just warmed our hearts upon visiting and remains etched in our memories forever... Marilyn (Wilson) and John Topham

Quelle belle vie, 99 ans. Nous pensons à vous. En toute amitié.

Most sincere condolences to the three children Penu, Sonia and Cyril (and wife Julie) and their families and children. She was such a wonderful lady...remembering her from Hearst when visiting Sonia with my friend Mariette Boisvert. Gone but not forgotten... always in the heart of people who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace.
