Our deepest condolences to Judy, Darcy and Jeff. Although the loss to his union membership and the Oxford Park community is considerable, there is no way to measure the impact to your family. All those years we were neighbours I remember Eric talking about family and how important you were to him, how proud he was of his children. Although he has left you in body, his spirit lives on through you. Our thoughts are with you.

Our family met Eric back when my brothers Terry, Blair and myself (Susan) went to South. He was always welcome in our home. He was a very supporting gentle soul. We are so sorry to hear of his passing at such an early age. I hope you will take comfort in all that he has accomplished in this short time. We are so glad we had a chance to be apart of his early life. We were blessed! Jim, Mickie (Dad & Mom), Terry, Blair, Susan and Janice.

Our deepest sympathies to Judy, Jeff , Darcy and all of Eric's family. Both Ken and I will never forget Eric's support during the mid 1990's when he helped us form the Oxford Park Resident's Association and get it up and running. My husband and I also remember the great effort Eric put in to ensure that the Cavendish Trail system would become part of the natural trail system in the area, and the time he somehow found in his busy schedule to keep it looking nice for others to enjoy. He was a great humanitarian who always put others before himself. He will be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him, even though he has left his family and his friends much too early. May you rest in Peace always, Eric.

I first met Eric in 1971, around the time his Mother tragically passed away at a relatively young age. We remained close friends after we attended South Secondary School together. For the past 20 years or so, I regularly dropped over to Eric and Judy's home during the Spring, Summer and Fall months to shoot the breeze and have a few cups of tea on the side deck. Eric and I also attended several London Majors' games at historic Labatt Park each season. During the past two decades, Eric has mentored and helped many people in London and has also been a popular union leader at the City of London. Eric will be fondly remembered but deeply missed by all who knew him. Condolences to Eric's immediate and extended family.
