Erle Young

Erle Young passed away peacefully in his 87th year on March 13, 2024.
Erle was married to his wife Sharon Young for 62 years. Erle is survived by his children; Steven (Carolyn), Janice and Jamie. He was a loving grandfather to Robert Brooks (Gina Darya), Meaghan Brooks-MacDonald (Matt MacDonald), Gordon Young, Garett Young (Steph Rickwood), Annie Young (Cole Hodge) and great-grandchild Kurtis Young.
Erle was such a quiet and loving husband, father and grandfather and will be deeply missed forever.
We sincerely thank and appreciate the kindness and dedication from the stroke team and intensive care unit, doctors and nurses at University Hospital.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.

Sharon - So sorry to hear of the passing of Erle. We enjoyed Erle’s company on our Thursday men’s bowling team and our weekly visits with you also. He was a soft spoken gentleman and will be missed.
I am so very sorry for your family's loss. I remember fondly the times that my mom and dad and Erle and Sharon were together, in Ottawa, London, and Napanee at the cottages. They always made time to come and visit with us, and kept in touch after my parents passed. Cards and assorted drinks, watching ball games, and more occupied the visits. I will miss Erle's quiet sense of humour. My love to his family. Now dad has someone to talk to and complain about the Blue Jays.
