Words cannot express the sadness we feel at the loss of such a dear friend. Erma and Marg have been a part of the Ryan family for almost 70 years. We have shared many a dinner, birthday celebration, Christmas, Easter and so many wonderful times together. She was such a kind, considerate and classy lady. Our gatherings will not be the same without her.

Erma, you will never know how much I admired you and wished I could have lived closer to London so I could have visited you more often. I will miss our emails. Give my love to the Curtis family there in heaven with you. Your niece Nancy

My sincere sympathy to the families and Margaret on the loss of a wonderful person, Erma. It was always enjoyable to have a visit with Marg and Erma. We all will miss the friendship of a wonderful person like Erma. May all the good memories comfort you at these times.

For half a century Erma has been the 'Aunt' at the at the end of the table . Christmas , Easter , Thanksgiving and every occasion of merit was given just the right 'spice' by her wit and charm and general ability to ' sum things up'. Oscar Wilde should be so clever. Our world is a lesser place without her but the other evening, standing on our porch, we looked up at the night sky and counted one more star.

We had the distinct privilege of knowing Erma through the "Chantry Coffee Club" (in our apartment building). Erma was a kind, gentle person, who seemingly never failed to share a smile and an encouraging word, in spite of her physical challenges. She was the kind of person you wished you could have known earlier in life, so that you could have shared more pleasant times with her. Our sympathy and condolences go to Marg, and to the others such as Rose who had the blessing of knowing Erma well over the years.

We were so sorry to hear about Erma's passing. She was a true lady and it was a pleasure to get to know her. We enjoyed chatting with her on the porch on Colborne Street or at the annual Canada Day Street Party. Our condolences to Marg and to their families.

I am saddened to hear of Erma's passing. The world was a better place because she was here. She was a lovely person with a heart of gold. She will be missed. A treasure of a person.
