Ernest Royal ‘Roy’ Seabourne

April 9, 2022

After living a beautiful life and celebrating his 90th birthday on January 27th, Ernest Royal Seabourne “Roy”, passed peacefully on Saturday, April 9, 2022 surrounded by the love and support of his family. He will be missed so very much by his children, Kirby (Corinne) Seabourne, Kelly (Don) Brennan, Doug (Mirvat) Seabourne, Pat Seabourne (Kelly), Karen Finnemore (Gary) and Mike (Sandra) Seabourne. His brother and sister-in-law, Keith & Jeannette Seabourne, will miss his smiling face at Sunday brunch and Tuesday night dinners. Roy’s first wife and good friend, Dorothy Jack (mother of his first five children) knew him for over 70 years and will miss him dearly. He was a proud grandfather and great-grandfather who loved to brag about how his family was a gang of almost 50 when we would gather to celebrate Christmas together. Roy was predeceased by his wonderful parents Fred and Blanche Seabourne (née Reh), sister Patricia and his loving wife, Lillian Seabourne (née Ford), mother of his sixth and youngest child. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be arranged to take place at a later date. Roy was fond of reminding us that “Life is so beautiful” and with that in mind, we ask that you simply find your own way to honour his amazing life. The entire Seabourne family would like to thank every member of the staff at University Hospital 10th Floor Palliative Care. You truly are amazing professionals with endless amounts of empathy. We appreciate the excellent care given to our Dad and for the comfort you gave each and every one of us.
