Estella Miller (née Patterson)

In her 96^th year, Estella Miller (née Patterson) passed away in Strathroy, after a slow decline due to dementia, on January 9, 2026. Lovingly remembered sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt by lots of family. She was the second child, oldest sister, in a family of 12. She would want us to mention that she was predeceased by her parents, George and Edna Patterson, her husband and his parents, Bob Miller, son of Wes and Edna Miller, and Bob’s sister Marilyn Munroe, brother Alf and his wife Jean; brothers George, Lorne and Ken, brother and sisters-in-law Bev Patterson, Stu Bond, Eileen Patterson, Olga Patterson, Morley Loosemore, Don Phillips, Maurice St. Pierre and sister Audrey; survived by sisters and in-laws Doris and Barry Montgomery, Leila Loosemore, Shirley Phillips, Gail Patterson, Jean St. Pierre, Pat Patterson and Mike Potter, Lynn and Bob Allen, all her nieces and nephews, and Estella’s children Laurie Black and Rob Miller (Brenda), grandchildren Kris Jolliffe (Wil) , Luke Black (Stef), Paul Shuparski-Miller (Leah), and great-grandchildren Liam, Drew, Claire, Wes, and Ada. Estella knew and loved you all; it was never her choice to forget any of you.

Visitation will take place at Westview Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Friday, January 16, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Woodland Cemetery. A reception to follow at the German Canadian Club, 1 Cove Road, London.

In lieu of flowers, consider donations to Strathmere Lodge in Strathroy, who have been exceptionally caring these past six years, or Lambeth United Church, where Estella found a lifelong community that filled her life with meaning. The Alzheimer Society Southwest Partners would be the family’s third choice.
