Suddenly at home on Saturday, April 19, 2025, Frances Irene Tosland passed away at the age of 92. Beloved wife of the late John Aubrey Tosland (1981). Dear mother of John (Mary), Mark, David (Elizabeth), and James. Cherished Grannie of Andrew (Hannah), Daniel, Melissa (Liam), Dylan, Evan, Joshua, Matthew and Great-Grannie of Noah and Elijah. Dear sister-in-law of Betty MacDonald and sister of James Robinson. Irene will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Predeceased by her siblings Isabel and Kenneth.
Irene was a long-time member of WestPark Church. She was an avid reader, and found joy in caring for children and visiting with friends.
A private graveside service will take place at Kintore Presbyterian Cemetery. A celebration of Irene’s life will be held on Monday, May 5, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at WestPark Church, 955 Gainsborough Road, London.

My sincerest condolences to James and his family on the loss of their mother. Irene was a lovely person and I am glad to have had the chance to get to know her. I enjoyed our chats when I would come over to visit James. Sending love and thinking of the family as they process their grief.

Dear James and Irene’s loving family: Our heartfelt wishes for you as you miss Irene here on earth. We met Irene on only a couple of occasions, but she made a lasting impact on us. She was a Godly woman, gentle at heart, joyful and encouraging in our conversations. She successfully finished her race here and God called her to His eternal abode.
