Peacefully, surrounded by family at Victoria Hospital on Thursday, October 29, 2015, George English, of London in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Betty English for 64 wonderful years. Loving dad of Mary-Ellen (Phil) Lewis, Steve (Loretta) English, Kim (Dennis) Burt, Randy (Brenda) English and New (Traci) English. Dear brother of Pudge Phillips and Marilyn Lacourse. Adored Poppa of 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by brothers Don and Chuck English, and sister Donna Bardawell. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where the funeral service will be conducted on Monday, November 2, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of George are asked to consider KidSport Canada.

To all the English family we were so sorry to hear of Geroge's passing. We think back to the days when you were in Lucan as a customer and friend. Also how much we enjoyed the wonderful renovation he did on our family room.
I am sad to hear of George's passing. My condolences to Phil and all the rest of the family. I worked together with George and Phil 20+ years ago in the early days of Wirsbo tubing introduction in Ontario and always found George to be a real gentleman.

On behalf of myself, Roger, and the rest of the staff at Carson Supply, we were saddened to hear of George's passing. It was always a pleasure spending some time catching up with him when he'd stop in to see us in Port Elgin. He will be missed.

My condolences to Betty, Mary-Ellen, Steve, Kim, Randy and New and families. George was a great hockey coach and neighbour. I lived with George and Betty in Calgary and they were both terrific and generous people. George got me a summer job at Spruce Meadows that summer, one I still look fondly back on. My thoughts and prayers are with the whole English family at this difficult time.

George was our favourite Uncle. We are filled with compassion for the family he leaves behind as we know the void will be deep. George was always the life of the party and his love for Betty and his family set an example to us all of how the rewards of loyalty pay off. We are deeply saddened at his passing and wish we were closer to offer all the family some small bit of support in their time of sorrow. Please accept our love and sympathy.

It''s hard to find words, I will surely miss George stopping by, no matter how busy the day was, I could always find time to talk with George. I will remember his smile and great personality, as I'am sure this is how he would want it. Condolences to all the family from all of us.
