George Ralph Laskey

Peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family, at Victoria Hospital, London, George Laskey passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at the age of 90. Beloved husband of Anne Laskey for 22 years. Dear father of Mark and his wife Mary, Michael, and Janice Peltier, and stepfather of Rita Edwards and her husband Michael Loker, and Evelyn Thibitout and her husband Mike. George leaves behind his 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. He is survived by his sister-in-law Lynda Laskey, and predeceased by his siblings Roy and Bill Laskey, and Sharon and Val Vanderhoeven.

George retired from Canada Post where he worked as a mail carrier for 24 years.

Friends and family are welcome for visitation on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, from 2:00–4:00 p.m. at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London. Cremation with a private interment at Oakland Cemetery, London at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in George’s memory may be directed to the Alzheimer Society Southwest Partners.

Sorry for your loss Anne. My thought and prayers are with you. i understand that George wrote this obituary some time ago and some of the numbers have certainly changed. He had 3 kids, Michael, Janice and Mark. 8 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren and 9 Great Great Grandchildren with number 10 due in September. What a wonderful garden he grew.
